Professional Furnace Installation in Sanford, FL
Installing a new furnace requires careful planning, accurate sizing, and skilled workmanship to deliver years of safe, efficient operation. Sol Aire Air Conditioning begins every furnace installation with a complete load calculation that considers your home size, insulation, ductwork, and heating needs. Oversized furnaces short cycle and waste energy, while undersized units run constantly without keeping the home comfortable on the coldest nights. Customer Testimonials
Great folks. Amazing special $89 tune up included drain line cleaning. Highly recommend. Came same day and gave good advice.
Talk about a great team to work with. Great customer experience is a dying breed, but not here. The office staff is welcoming, the techs go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the end results. Would highly recommend if you just need service, a new install or a health check of your system before it gets too hot outside!
I’m so glad I switched to Sol Aire for my HVAC repair and maintenance. After multiple visits from another company that couldn’t diagnose the issue, it was such a relief to finally get answers. Roberto and Carlos were incredibly thorough. They took the time to carefully inspect both my indoor and outdoor units, quickly identified the problem, and fixed it efficiently. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. What impressed me just as much was the overall customer service. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Mandilyn and Juana Luisa were fantastic—helpful with scheduling, proactive in communicating when the technician was on the way, and thoughtful enough to follow up afterward to make sure everything went well. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both technical expertise and excellent customer care. Highly recommend!
The tech did real good and was very competent. The tech was dispatched 1st call of the morning. Great service!!!!!!
We had Sol Aire come out to look at my mom’s HVAC system which was over 24 years old and had finally gave out. This was our second quote and we chose them because of their honesty and professionalism. Sam from Sol Aire was fantastic. He took the time to answer all of my questions as well as my mom’s and he gave us honest feedback without any pressure. On the day of installation the team arrived on time and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The owner Lorenzo was even onsite for part of the day to check the quality of the work. He introduced himself to my mom and even took a moment to speak with me over Facetime which I really appreciated. The team Jason, Roberto and Carlos were courteous, professional and very respectful of my mom’s home. They cleaned everything up when they were done and were especially patient in helping my mom get set up with the app on her phone. Mandilyn in the office was also super helpful. She called my mom multiple times to keep her updated and followed up afterward to make sure everything was going well. From start to finish the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Sol Aire... A+ experience!
Sam and Roberto were incredibly kind and helpful people. They came out to service our business AC unit. They did an honest and professional job. The pricing was very fair and we signed up for a year long maintenance plan.
Carlos and Roberto were very professional they took care of the problem and explained everything that they were doing
I've been through multiple different AC companies and haven't had much luck finding one I'm happy with..... until this one. It had been a while since I had maintenance done and I wanted to get my system checked before the summer heat. I had gotten their flyer at my door a few weeks back and decided to try them out. I'm extremely happy I did! I called on a Thursday and they were already able to come out Monday afternoon. Before they arrived they texted and called to let me know they were on the way. I also received an email with their 2 names and pictures through a service that verifies their identities, just so you know who will be coming out. They were both extremely nice and professional and they took plenty of time to clean and check my system out. They also took pics of everything they did, before and after, and showed me them before I paid. My 10 year old AC system looks almost brand new again! Not only that but my whole house smells incredible thanks to the cleaners they used! If this is the level of service and professionalism they demonstrate moving forward, then I just found my go-to AC company from this point on. Well done Sol-Aire!
They put a new AC unit in my parents' house. Fantastic job ice cold air. I'm so happy. Thank you, . Thank you, Lorenzo.

Great service, respectful, and timely. They even figured out how to accommodate my request for the mini split placement!
It was easy to make the appointment, they came exactly on time, and did the work promptly and professionally. I felt they were interested in making sure I was being served, not that they were just there to make a buck. They make some suggestions, but didn't push anything on me. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will use their service again in the future.
I had 2 original ac units replaced. I am happy with the new units. The techs that installed the units were friendly and professional. I've used cheaper services with horrible outcomes. You get what you pay for and im glad I used Sol Aire. I highly recommend Sole Aire.
My A/C started leaking and resetting. My regular guy and handyman were both unavailable. I had received a hand-written letter from Sol Aire earlier in the week. They replied right away and came the next morning. The owner even drove 40 minutes to my house on a Sunday to make sure I was set. They are very professional, timely, friendly and give you personalized service

Roberto n Carlos super nice and informative. I’m happy to see y’all in 6 months for the next check!
First visit and I am beyond pleased. Extremely professional service the whole way through. From scheduling to completion I felt taken care of by the team! The company sent me pictures of the techs coming out to my house, Ramon and Carlos. I got a text and phone call when they were on the way. I bought the maintenance plan and was not over sold on any further products, but was told about potential future needs and even sent over a price estimate so I would not be surprised later on if I did decide to have them replace a UV bulb when it goes out.
Roberto did an awesome job removing and cleaning the Ac coil and fan motor in the Air handler, I would highly recommend any homeowner who needs service and maintenance.
They came out quick and were great about cleanup. I’m pretty picky and they were very easy to work with. Will for sure be using them in the future.

Our Furnace Service
Sol Aire Air Conditioning brings decades of combined experience to every furnace project across Sanford and the surrounding communities. Florida heating needs differ from northern climates, but the cold snaps that arrive each winter still demand reliable, efficient heating equipment. Our team approaches every furnace project with attention to safety, code compliance, and long term reliability. We service single family homes, multi family properties, retail spaces, and small commercial buildings throughout Seminole and Volusia counties. Each job begins with a thorough conversation about your comfort needs, energy goals, and any concerns with the existing system. Our technicians hold current certifications, complete ongoing training, and stay updated on changing safety standards across the heating industry. That commitment to professional development shows in the quality of our diagnostics, installations, and repairs. Old fashioned customer service with clear communication sets our work apart from contractors who treat heating jobs as quick transactions.
Furnace installation calls for far more than swapping old equipment for new units. Proper sizing through Manual J load calculations determines the correct heating capacity for your home based on actual conditions rather than guesswork. We evaluate existing gas lines for proper sizing and pressure, since modern high efficiency furnaces sometimes require different connections than older equipment. Venting becomes especially important with condensing furnaces, which produce acidic condensate and use PVC vent pipes rather than traditional metal flues. Ductwork compatibility receives close attention, since pairing a new furnace with restrictive or undersized ducts limits performance and wastes energy. Our installers follow manufacturer specifications precisely, which protects warranties and confirms the equipment performs as rated. We discuss AFUE ratings, two stage and modulating burner options, and variable speed blower motors during the consultation. Code required safety devices like flue gas spillage switches and combustion air provisions get installed to current standards. Every installation finishes with combustion analysis, safety control testing, and a complete walkthrough for the homeowner.
Furnace maintenance keeps heating equipment operating safely and efficiently throughout the heating season. Even in Florida, furnaces benefit from annual professional service to catch developing issues before they cause breakdowns or safety concerns. During a tune up, our technicians inspect and clean the burners, check ignitor function, test flame sensor operation, and verify proper gas pressure at the manifold. The heat exchanger receives careful inspection for cracks, corrosion, or carbon buildup that could allow combustion gases to mix with conditioned air. Carbon monoxide testing happens during every furnace service, since this odorless gas poses serious safety risks when furnaces malfunction. We also check the blower motor, capacitor, limit switches, and pressure switches for proper operation. The flue and vent system get inspected to verify safe combustion gas removal from the home. Filter changes, thermostat calibration, and complete cycle testing round out the maintenance visit. Each service ends with a written report covering findings and recommendations.
Furnace repair represents the most common reason homeowners first contact us about heating issues. A furnace that fails to ignite, produces insufficient heat, cycles too frequently, or makes unusual noises needs prompt professional attention. Common repair issues include failed hot surface ignitors, dirty flame sensors, faulty thermocouples on older equipment, draft inducer motor failures, and limit switch trips from restricted airflow. We also address gas valve failures, control board issues, blower motor problems, and various sensor faults that prevent normal operation. Our trucks carry universal parts that fit most major brands, which means the majority of repairs finish in a single visit. We work on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Bryant, Amana, and many other manufacturers. After every repair, we test the system through multiple heating cycles to confirm proper operation and safety control function. Honest assessments help homeowners decide when continued repairs make sense and when replacement becomes the smarter long term choice.
Safety considerations make furnace work fundamentally different from other HVAC services. Gas furnaces combust fuel inside the home, which creates potential risks if equipment malfunctions or installation falls short of code requirements. Carbon monoxide poisoning poses the most serious threat, and improperly vented or maintained furnaces can produce dangerous CO levels without obvious warning signs. Our technicians use calibrated CO meters during every furnace service to verify safe operation. Combustion analysis goes beyond visual inspection to measure actual flue gas content and confirm efficient, clean burning. We test gas pressure, check for gas leaks at all connections, and verify proper draft and venting on every job. Heat exchanger inspections look for cracks that could allow combustion products to enter the indoor air supply. Safety controls including limit switches, flame sensors, pressure switches, and rollout switches all get tested for proper function. Homeowners receive clear information about CO detector placement and replacement schedules.
Energy efficiency varies significantly across furnace types and models. Older furnaces often operate at AFUE ratings of seventy or eighty percent, meaning twenty to thirty percent of fuel energy escapes up the flue rather than heating the home. Modern high efficiency condensing furnaces achieve AFUE ratings of ninety percent or higher, with some models exceeding ninety eight percent efficiency. The savings add up significantly over years of operation, though efficiency improvements must be weighed against equipment costs. Variable speed blower motors reduce electrical consumption while improving comfort through better air distribution. Two stage and modulating burners adjust output to actual heating demand, which reduces cycling and improves comfort consistency. Smart thermostats add another layer of efficiency by learning your schedule and adjusting temperatures intelligently. Florida homeowners with relatively modest heating needs sometimes find that standard efficiency furnaces deliver the best value, while homes with longer heating seasons benefit more from premium efficiency equipment. Our team helps customers calculate realistic payback periods so the equipment choice matches actual usage patterns.
Choosing the right contractor for furnace work matters more than many homeowners realize. Sol Aire Air Conditioning maintains proper Florida licensing, current certifications, and full insurance that protect customers throughout every project. Our technicians complete background checks before joining the team, which gives families confidence about who works on their gas appliances. We provide free estimates with honest, no pressure recommendations, so you never feel rushed into a decision about heating equipment. Pricing stays transparent from the initial quote through the final invoice, with no surprise charges appearing after work begins. Our customer reviews reflect a track record built on safe, code compliant work and clear communication. We answer the phone, return calls promptly, and show up when promised. That reliability matters even more for heating work, where families depend on warm homes during cold weather. Building long term relationships with the communities we serve drives every choice we make.

Most Common Furnace Questions
Furnace services cover installation of new heating equipment, annual maintenance to keep systems running safely, and repair work when problems develop. Below are answers to questions homeowners ask us most often about furnace installation, maintenance, and repair.
Most residential furnace installations finish within one full day when the project involves a straightforward replacement. Our crews typically arrive early in the morning, complete removal of the old equipment, install the new furnace, and run final testing before leaving the same day. Projects that include additional work like gas line modifications, electrical upgrades, or ductwork changes sometimes extend into a second day. New installations in homes that have never had a furnace require more time for venting, gas line installation, and ductwork connections.
Several factors influence the installation timeline beyond just the equipment swap. Older homes with non standard equipment locations or limited access sometimes require additional time for safe removal and installation. Code required updates to venting, combustion air, or condensate drainage add work that extends the project. Permits and inspections happen on schedules set by local building departments, which sometimes affect when the new equipment can be activated. Our team handles permit applications, schedules inspections, and coordinates the process so homeowners do not have to navigate it themselves.
Once installation completes, the startup procedure includes verification of gas pressure, combustion analysis, safety control testing, and full system commissioning. We measure temperature rise across the heat exchanger to confirm proper airflow and heating capacity. The thermostat gets configured with appropriate cycle settings, and any smart features get connected to home networks. Homeowners receive a complete walkthrough covering operation, filter replacement schedule, warranty registration, and recommended maintenance. Most customers find the process smoother than expected because our team communicates clearly throughout the project.
Annual furnace maintenance represents the industry standard recommendation for keeping heating equipment running safely and efficiently. Manufacturers typically require documented annual service to maintain warranty coverage, so skipping maintenance can void coverage on expensive components. Florida homeowners sometimes underestimate the importance of furnace maintenance because heating use is more seasonal here than in northern climates. The truth is that infrequent use creates its own set of issues, including dust accumulation, pest activity, and component deterioration during long off periods.
The ideal time for furnace maintenance falls in the fall, before the heating season begins. Scheduling service in October or November means problems get caught before cold weather arrives and creates urgent demand for repair appointments. Our Aire-mazing Maintenance Plan automates the scheduling process, with two service visits per year that cover both cooling and heating equipment. Plan members receive priority scheduling, automatic service reminders, and repair discounts that pay for themselves over time.
Safety considerations make furnace maintenance particularly important compared to cooling only systems. Combustion equipment requires verification that gas pressure, flue gas content, draft pressure, and safety controls all operate within manufacturer specifications. Heat exchanger inspections catch developing cracks that could allow carbon monoxide into the indoor air supply. Without regular service, these issues can develop silently until they cause serious safety problems. Annual tune ups give peace of mind that the equipment running while your family sleeps is operating safely and reliably.
Several signs indicate that a furnace needs professional attention before a complete breakdown occurs. Insufficient heating output, where the furnace runs but rooms never reach the thermostat setting, often points to issues like a failing ignitor, dirty flame sensor, or restricted airflow. Strange noises during operation deserve prompt attention, since banging, grinding, squealing, or whistling sounds usually indicate mechanical problems with the blower motor, burners, or inducer fan. Short cycling, where the furnace turns on and off rapidly without reaching the thermostat setpoint, can indicate overheating issues, control problems, or improperly sized equipment.
Yellow or flickering burner flames suggest combustion problems that affect both efficiency and safety. Healthy gas furnace flames burn blue and steady, while yellow flames can indicate incomplete combustion that produces dangerous carbon monoxide. Unusual smells like sulfur or rotten eggs around the furnace point to potential gas leaks that require immediate professional attention. Burning odors during normal operation sometimes indicate electrical problems, wire insulation deterioration, or accumulated dust burning off heating components.
Higher than normal heating bills without changes in usage patterns often indicate declining efficiency from a struggling system. Frequent CO detector activation, even at low alarm levels, suggests combustion problems that need immediate diagnosis. Visible soot or rust around the furnace cabinet, vent pipes, or chimney points to combustion or venting issues. Our diagnostic approach identifies the actual root cause rather than just treating symptoms, which protects both safety and budget. Honest assessments help homeowners understand exactly what is happening with their equipment.
Most residential furnaces last between fifteen and twenty years when properly installed and maintained throughout their service life. Gas furnaces often reach the higher end of that range, while electric furnaces sometimes last even longer due to fewer moving parts and no combustion components. Florida furnaces sometimes outlast their northern counterparts because they accumulate fewer total operating hours during their working life. The relatively short heating season here means less wear and tear compared to systems running constantly through northern winters.
Several factors influence how long any particular furnace lasts. Installation quality affects longevity significantly, since proper sizing, venting, and electrical connections all reduce stress on components over time. Maintenance history shows direct correlation with equipment lifespan, as systems serviced annually consistently outlast neglected units. Indoor air quality affects component life, with dusty environments and inadequate filtration shortening blower motor and burner service intervals. Manufacturer quality differences also matter, though most major brands deliver acceptable longevity when paired with quality installation and care.
When furnaces reach fifteen years or older, replacement usually makes more sense than major repairs. Modern equipment offers significantly better efficiency, quieter operation, and improved comfort through better controls. Replacement parts for older equipment sometimes become difficult to source, which extends repair timelines and increases costs. Our team provides honest assessments based on actual equipment condition, repair history, and remaining useful life. We never push replacement on customers whose furnaces still have meaningful service life remaining.
Proper furnace sizing depends on far more than just square footage, despite what some online calculators suggest. A correct Manual J load calculation accounts for insulation levels, window quantity and quality, ceiling height, air infiltration, and local climate conditions. Florida heating loads differ significantly from northern requirements, which means furnaces sized for northern homes would be dramatically oversized here. Right sizing matters because both undersized and oversized equipment create problems.
Oversized furnaces actually cause more issues than slightly undersized ones in many cases. A unit that is too large heats spaces quickly but short cycles, never running long enough to evenly distribute warm air or remove moisture from the heat exchanger area. Short cycling wears out components faster, especially the ignitor and inducer motor, leading to premature failures. Undersized furnaces run constantly during cold weather, struggling to keep up with heating demand while driving up energy bills.
Our team performs thorough load calculations during the estimate process rather than relying on generic sizing rules. We measure rooms, evaluate insulation conditions, count and assess windows, and discuss specific comfort preferences before recommending equipment capacity. Most Florida homes need furnaces with significantly less capacity than equivalent square footage homes in northern states. Taking the time to size correctly pays dividends through better comfort, lower energy bills, longer equipment life, and quieter operation. Customers appreciate that we never just guess at sizing based on a quick walk through.
The repair versus replace decision involves several factors beyond just the immediate repair cost. Equipment age matters significantly, since furnaces beyond twelve to fifteen years old often face declining reliability even after major repairs. The fifty percent rule offers a useful guideline, suggesting replacement when a single repair costs more than half the price of new equipment. Repair history also factors heavily, as systems with multiple service calls in recent years often signal broader deterioration throughout the unit.
Safety considerations sometimes drive replacement decisions independent of cost calculations. Cracked heat exchangers represent the most common safety related replacement trigger, since this damage allows carbon monoxide to mix with indoor air. Repair of cracked heat exchangers is sometimes possible but often impractical or impossible depending on the equipment design. Older furnaces with worn safety controls, deteriorating gas valves, or aging electrical components present growing safety risks even when individual repairs seem affordable.
Energy efficiency considerations strengthen the case for replacement in many situations. Furnaces from fifteen or twenty years ago typically operated at AFUE ratings between seventy and eighty percent. Modern equipment achieves ninety percent or higher efficiency, which translates to meaningful fuel savings over the life of new equipment. Our team provides honest recommendations based on your specific situation rather than pushing replacement when repair makes more sense. We share actual numbers including repair costs, expected remaining life, and projected energy savings. Financing options keep replacement accessible when the math favors new equipment.
A thorough furnace maintenance visit covers far more than just changing a filter. Our technicians begin with a complete visual inspection of the furnace cabinet, looking for signs of corrosion, rust, soot, or other indicators of underlying issues. Combustion components receive careful attention, including the burners, ignitor, flame sensor, and gas valve. We clean the burners and verify proper flame characteristics during operation. The heat exchanger gets inspected for cracks, corrosion, or carbon buildup that could affect both efficiency and safety.
Electrical components receive thorough testing during every maintenance visit. Capacitors get tested with a meter rather than just visually inspected, since failing capacitors are common causes of furnace problems. Limit switches, pressure switches, and rollout switches all get tested for proper function. Wire connections receive inspection for tightness, since loose connections cause overheating and component failure. The blower motor gets examined for proper operation, and the blower wheel gets cleaned when accumulated dust restricts airflow. The condensate drain gets checked on high efficiency furnaces to prevent overflow issues.
Safety testing represents the most important part of every furnace maintenance visit. We use calibrated CO meters to verify safe combustion gas levels around the equipment and in the indoor air. Combustion analysis measures actual flue gas content to confirm efficient operation and identify developing problems. Gas pressure gets measured at the manifold to verify proper firing rate. The thermostat receives calibration, and the system runs through complete cycles to confirm normal operation. Each visit ends with a written report covering findings and recommendations for any needed attention.
Sol Aire Air Conditioning services all major brands of furnace equipment, not just the brands we sell. Our technicians work on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Bryant, York, American Standard, Amana, and many other manufacturers. This brand neutral approach gives homeowners flexibility regardless of who originally installed their heating equipment. We also service older furnaces from manufacturers that have changed names, merged, or exited the market over the years.
Our trucks carry universal parts that fit most major furnace brands, which means most common repairs finish during the first visit. Hot surface ignitors, flame sensors, capacitors, contactors, and many sensors used across multiple manufacturers stay stocked on every service vehicle. For brand specific parts, we maintain strong relationships with local supply houses that provide quick turnaround on special orders. Our technicians stay current on training across multiple equipment lines through manufacturer programs and industry continuing education.
Brand neutral service matters especially for older equipment that may no longer be supported by the original manufacturer. Some technicians refuse to work on certain brands or older models, which leaves homeowners stuck without service options. Our team takes pride in keeping older equipment running when repair makes sense, while honestly explaining when replacement becomes the better choice. Customers appreciate having one trusted contractor who can handle every heating system in their home or business regardless of brand or age.
