Customer Testimonials
Great folks. Amazing special $89 tune up included drain line cleaning. Highly recommend. Came same day and gave good advice.
Talk about a great team to work with. Great customer experience is a dying breed, but not here. The office staff is welcoming, the techs go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the end results. Would highly recommend if you just need service, a new install or a health check of your system before it gets too hot outside!
I’m so glad I switched to Sol Aire for my HVAC repair and maintenance. After multiple visits from another company that couldn’t diagnose the issue, it was such a relief to finally get answers. Roberto and Carlos were incredibly thorough. They took the time to carefully inspect both my indoor and outdoor units, quickly identified the problem, and fixed it efficiently. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. What impressed me just as much was the overall customer service. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Mandilyn and Juana Luisa were fantastic—helpful with scheduling, proactive in communicating when the technician was on the way, and thoughtful enough to follow up afterward to make sure everything went well. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both technical expertise and excellent customer care. Highly recommend!
The tech did real good and was very competent. The tech was dispatched 1st call of the morning. Great service!!!!!!
We had Sol Aire come out to look at my mom’s HVAC system which was over 24 years old and had finally gave out. This was our second quote and we chose them because of their honesty and professionalism. Sam from Sol Aire was fantastic. He took the time to answer all of my questions as well as my mom’s and he gave us honest feedback without any pressure. On the day of installation the team arrived on time and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The owner Lorenzo was even onsite for part of the day to check the quality of the work. He introduced himself to my mom and even took a moment to speak with me over Facetime which I really appreciated. The team Jason, Roberto and Carlos were courteous, professional and very respectful of my mom’s home. They cleaned everything up when they were done and were especially patient in helping my mom get set up with the app on her phone. Mandilyn in the office was also super helpful. She called my mom multiple times to keep her updated and followed up afterward to make sure everything was going well. From start to finish the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Sol Aire... A+ experience!
Sam and Roberto were incredibly kind and helpful people. They came out to service our business AC unit. They did an honest and professional job. The pricing was very fair and we signed up for a year long maintenance plan.
Carlos and Roberto were very professional they took care of the problem and explained everything that they were doing
I've been through multiple different AC companies and haven't had much luck finding one I'm happy with..... until this one. It had been a while since I had maintenance done and I wanted to get my system checked before the summer heat. I had gotten their flyer at my door a few weeks back and decided to try them out. I'm extremely happy I did! I called on a Thursday and they were already able to come out Monday afternoon. Before they arrived they texted and called to let me know they were on the way. I also received an email with their 2 names and pictures through a service that verifies their identities, just so you know who will be coming out. They were both extremely nice and professional and they took plenty of time to clean and check my system out. They also took pics of everything they did, before and after, and showed me them before I paid. My 10 year old AC system looks almost brand new again! Not only that but my whole house smells incredible thanks to the cleaners they used! If this is the level of service and professionalism they demonstrate moving forward, then I just found my go-to AC company from this point on. Well done Sol-Aire!
They put a new AC unit in my parents' house. Fantastic job ice cold air. I'm so happy. Thank you, . Thank you, Lorenzo.
Amazing fast service! Professional and caring during the booking process, a/c service, and prompt and courteous updates regarding parts needed. Highly recommend saving their number for any future needs!!
Great service, respectful, and timely. They even figured out how to accommodate my request for the mini split placement!
It was easy to make the appointment, they came exactly on time, and did the work promptly and professionally. I felt they were interested in making sure I was being served, not that they were just there to make a buck. They make some suggestions, but didn't push anything on me. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will use their service again in the future.
I had 2 original ac units replaced. I am happy with the new units. The techs that installed the units were friendly and professional. I've used cheaper services with horrible outcomes. You get what you pay for and im glad I used Sol Aire. I highly recommend Sole Aire.
My A/C started leaking and resetting. My regular guy and handyman were both unavailable. I had received a hand-written letter from Sol Aire earlier in the week. They replied right away and came the next morning. The owner even drove 40 minutes to my house on a Sunday to make sure I was set. They are very professional, timely, friendly and give you personalized service
Great company. Excellent customer service. The techs were knowledgeable. Did a great job on my ac maintenance. Installed a REME Halo. Highly recommend.

Sol Aire, Roberto and Carlos were fantastic. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and resolve the issue at a very affordable rate. We were so happy we signed up for the maintenance plan to keep our unit running smoothly. Highly recommended!
Roberto n Carlos super nice and informative. I’m happy to see y’all in 6 months for the next check!
First visit and I am beyond pleased. Extremely professional service the whole way through. From scheduling to completion I felt taken care of by the team! The company sent me pictures of the techs coming out to my house, Ramon and Carlos. I got a text and phone call when they were on the way. I bought the maintenance plan and was not over sold on any further products, but was told about potential future needs and even sent over a price estimate so I would not be surprised later on if I did decide to have them replace a UV bulb when it goes out.
Roberto did an awesome job removing and cleaning the Ac coil and fan motor in the Air handler, I would highly recommend any homeowner who needs service and maintenance.
They came out quick and were great about cleanup. I’m pretty picky and they were very easy to work with. Will for sure be using them in the future.

Our Air Conditioning Service
Sol Aire Air Conditioning has built a reputation in Sanford and across Seminole and Volusia counties for honest work, fair pricing, and skilled technicians. Florida weather puts unique demands on cooling equipment, and our team understands how humidity, salt air, and long cooling seasons affect system performance. We service residential homes, multi family properties, and small commercial buildings with the same level of attention. Every job starts with a real conversation about your needs, budget, and long term goals for your space. Our technicians hold current certifications and continue training on the latest refrigerants, smart controls, and high efficiency equipment. We believe customers deserve clear communication from the first phone call through the final invoice. That commitment to old fashioned customer service is what keeps families and business owners coming back year after year.
Air conditioning installation requires more than just swapping out old equipment for new units. Proper sizing, refrigerant line set evaluation, condensate drain placement, and electrical compatibility all play a role in long term performance. Our installers follow manufacturer specifications precisely, which protects your warranty and confirms the system performs as rated. We discuss SEER2 efficiency ratings, two stage versus variable speed compressors, and the benefits of variable speed air handlers during the consultation. Daikin and Mitsubishi systems offer exceptional efficiency and quiet operation, and we are certified to install both lines. For homes with limited duct space or additions that need cooling, ductless mini splits provide a flexible solution. We also coordinate any necessary permits and inspections required by local Florida building codes. Financing makes premium equipment accessible without straining your monthly budget. Every installation finishes with a complete system test and customer walkthrough.
Maintenance keeps your AC system running at peak efficiency throughout the year. Florida systems often run nine or ten months out of twelve, so the wear and tear adds up faster than in cooler climates. During a tune up, our technicians inspect refrigerant levels, clean condenser coils, check electrical connections, calibrate the thermostat, and clear the condensate drain line. Dirty coils alone can drop efficiency by twenty percent or more, which shows up directly on your electric bill. We also examine the blower motor, capacitor, and contactor for early signs of wear that often cause summertime breakdowns. Filters get checked and replaced as needed, which protects indoor air quality and reduces strain on the blower. Our Aire-mazing Maintenance Plan delivers two visits per year, repair discounts, and priority scheduling so members get bumped to the front of the line during busy stretches. Each visit ends with a written report so you understand exactly what was checked and what we recommend.
Repair calls represent the most common reason people first reach out to Sol Aire Air Conditioning. A unit that blows warm air, runs constantly, makes unusual noises, or trips breakers needs prompt attention before small issues turn into major problems. We diagnose the root cause rather than guessing at parts, which saves customers money and prevents repeat service calls. Common repairs include replacing failed capacitors, repairing refrigerant leaks, replacing fan motors, clearing clogged drain lines, and addressing electrical control board issues. Our trucks carry a wide range of universal parts, so most repairs finish in a single visit. We work on all brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, and many more. After every repair, we test the system thoroughly to confirm the issue is fully resolved and the unit operates within manufacturer specifications. Honest recommendations matter to us, so we will tell you when a repair is worthwhile and when replacement is the smarter financial decision.
Energy efficiency continues to be a major focus for Florida homeowners watching their power bills climb each summer. Newer air conditioning systems use significantly less electricity than units from ten or fifteen years ago. Variable speed compressors adjust output to match demand, which reduces energy use and improves humidity control. Smart thermostats add another layer of efficiency by learning your schedule and adjusting temperatures automatically. We help customers compare projected energy savings against equipment costs so the math makes sense. Federal tax credits and utility rebates sometimes apply to qualifying high efficiency systems, and we point those out during the quote process. Our team also evaluates insulation, duct sealing, and home envelope concerns that can undermine even the best equipment. Whole home efficiency thinking sets us apart from contractors who only sell boxes.
Indoor air quality matters just as much as temperature control for many of our customers. Florida humidity creates ideal conditions for mold, mildew, and allergens that travel through duct systems. We offer media filters, UV light purifiers, dehumidifiers, and duct cleaning services to address these concerns. Proper humidity control also makes your home feel cooler at higher thermostat settings, which saves energy. We can integrate fresh air ventilation systems that bring filtered outside air into tightly sealed homes. Whole house dehumidifiers complement your AC by handling moisture without overcooling the space. Pet owners, allergy sufferers, and families with young children especially appreciate the difference cleaner air makes. Our technicians explain each option clearly so you can choose what fits your needs and budget.
Choosing the right HVAC contractor matters more than many homeowners realize until something goes wrong. Sol Aire Air Conditioning carries proper Florida licensing, insurance, and manufacturer certifications that protect customers throughout every project. Our technicians complete background checks before joining the team, giving families confidence about who enters their home. We provide free estimates with honest, no pressure recommendations, which means you never feel rushed into a decision. Our reviews reflect a track record built on clear communication, fair pricing, and quality workmanship. We answer the phone, return calls promptly, and show up when promised. That reliability is rare in the trades, and customers notice the difference. Building long term relationships with the communities we serve drives every choice we make as a company.

Most Common Air Conditioning Questions
Air conditioning services cover everything from installing new central AC systems to performing seasonal maintenance and emergency repairs across Sanford and the surrounding areas. Below are answers to the questions homeowners ask us most often before scheduling installation, maintenance, or repair work.
Most residential air conditioning installations take between one and two full days from start to finish. A straightforward swap of an existing central AC system, where ductwork and electrical connections are already in good shape, often wraps up within a single day. Larger projects involving new ductwork, electrical upgrades, or full system changeouts may extend into a second day. Our installation crews arrive early, lay protective coverings, and work efficiently to minimize disruption to your daily routine.
Ductless mini split installations vary based on the number of indoor heads and the complexity of the line set routing. A single zone mini split typically installs in four to six hours, while multi zone systems can take a full day or longer. Commercial installations often require additional coordination with electricians, roofers, or general contractors. Our team handles scheduling those trades when needed to keep the project moving.
Once the equipment is in place, we run a complete startup procedure that includes pressure testing refrigerant lines, verifying refrigerant charge, checking electrical loads, and measuring airflow at supply registers. The thermostat is configured, paired with any smart home features, and tested across cooling cycles. We then walk you through filter replacement, condensate drain location, and basic operation. Most customers find the process smoother than expected because our team communicates clearly at every step.
Florida homeowners benefit from scheduling air conditioning maintenance twice each year due to the extended cooling season and demanding climate conditions. Spring maintenance prepares the system for the hot summer months when cooling demand peaks. Fall service catches any wear from heavy summer use and prepares the system for winter heating operations if your unit is a heat pump.
Annual tune ups simply are not enough for systems that run nine to ten months out of twelve. Coils accumulate dirt and debris quickly in our climate, electrical components face constant cycling, and refrigerant charge can drift over time. Catching these issues early prevents larger failures during the hottest weeks of the year. Maintenance also protects manufacturer warranties, which often require documented annual service to remain valid.
Our Aire-mazing Maintenance Plan automates the entire process with two scheduled visits per year, priority scheduling, repair discounts, and automatic service reminders. Plan members never have to remember when service is due. The investment in regular maintenance typically pays for itself through lower energy bills, fewer repairs, and longer equipment life. Most homeowners find that systems serviced regularly last several years longer than neglected units.
Several warning signs indicate your air conditioner needs professional repair before a complete breakdown occurs. Warm air coming from supply vents is the most obvious indicator, often pointing to refrigerant issues, compressor problems, or frozen evaporator coils. Unusual noises like grinding, squealing, or banging suggest mechanical issues with the blower motor, compressor, or fan blades. Short cycling, where the unit turns on and off rapidly, can indicate thermostat problems, refrigerant issues, or a system that was improperly sized at installation.
Higher than normal electric bills without a change in usage patterns often signal declining efficiency from a struggling system. Water leaking around the indoor unit usually means a clogged condensate drain line or a failed condensate pump. Ice buildup on the refrigerant lines or evaporator coil typically indicates restricted airflow or low refrigerant charge. Strong odors, especially burning smells or musty odors, deserve immediate attention from a qualified technician.
Catching these issues early almost always costs less than waiting for a complete system failure. Our technicians provide thorough diagnostics that identify the actual root cause rather than just treating symptoms. We explain repair options clearly, including the cost of each repair and the expected remaining life of the equipment. Honest assessments help homeowners decide whether repair or replacement makes more financial sense.
Air conditioning systems in Florida generally last between ten and fifteen years, which is shorter than the national average due to our demanding climate. Heavy cooling loads, salt air in coastal communities, and constant cycling all contribute to faster wear compared to systems in milder climates. Heat pumps often see slightly shorter lifespans because they run year round for both heating and cooling.
Proper maintenance significantly extends the working life of any air conditioning system. Well maintained units routinely reach the higher end of that lifespan range, while neglected systems often fail much sooner. Factors like installation quality, refrigerant type, brand reliability, and home conditions all influence how long your system lasts. Premium brands like Daikin and Mitsubishi often outperform budget equipment by several years when properly maintained.
When systems reach twelve to fifteen years old, replacement usually makes more sense than major repairs. Newer equipment offers significantly better efficiency, quieter operation, improved humidity control, and modern features like smart thermostat integration. Our team provides honest assessments based on system age, repair history, and current performance. We never push replacement on customers whose systems still have useful life remaining.
Proper air conditioner sizing depends on far more than square footage alone. A correct load calculation accounts for ceiling height, insulation levels, window quantity and orientation, sun exposure, number of occupants, and local climate factors. Manual J load calculations are the industry standard method for sizing residential cooling equipment. Skipping this step almost always leads to systems that are either too large or too small for the space.
Oversized air conditioners create more problems than undersized ones in most cases. A unit that is too large cools the air quickly but shuts off before removing enough humidity, leaving the home feeling cold and clammy. Short cycling also wears out components faster, which leads to premature failures. Undersized units run constantly during peak heat, never quite reaching the thermostat setting and driving up electric bills.
Our technicians perform thorough load calculations during the estimate process rather than relying on rules of thumb. We measure rooms, evaluate insulation, count windows, and discuss your specific comfort preferences before recommending equipment size. Most Florida homes need between two and five tons of cooling capacity, but the right answer for your home requires actual measurements. Taking time to size correctly pays dividends through better comfort, lower bills, and longer equipment life.
The repair versus replace decision involves several factors beyond just the cost of the immediate repair. The age of the system matters significantly, since units beyond twelve years old often face declining reliability even after major repairs. The fifty percent rule offers a useful guideline, suggesting replacement when a single repair costs more than half the price of a new system. Repair history also factors in, as systems with multiple recent service calls often indicate broader wear throughout the equipment.
Efficiency considerations strengthen the case for replacement in many situations. Modern air conditioners can use thirty to fifty percent less electricity than units from ten or fifteen years ago. Those savings add up significantly over the life of new equipment, often offsetting a meaningful portion of the replacement cost. Refrigerant type also matters, since systems using older R-22 refrigerant face high recharge costs due to that refrigerant being phased out.
Our team provides honest recommendations based on your specific situation rather than pushing replacement when repair makes more sense. We share the actual numbers, including repair costs, expected remaining life, and projected energy savings from new equipment. Financing options make replacement accessible when the math favors a new system. Customers appreciate the no pressure approach because they leave the conversation with clear information to make their own decision.
A thorough air conditioning maintenance visit covers far more than just changing a filter. Our technicians inspect and clean the outdoor condenser coil, which directly affects how efficiently the system rejects heat. The indoor evaporator coil gets inspected for dirt buildup that restricts airflow and reduces cooling capacity. Refrigerant pressures get measured to confirm the system holds the correct charge for proper operation.
Electrical components receive close attention during every maintenance visit. Capacitors get tested with a meter rather than just visually inspected, since failing capacitors are one of the most common causes of summer breakdowns. The contactor, which switches the compressor on and off, gets inspected for pitting and burning. Wire connections get checked for tightness, since loose connections cause overheating and component failure. The blower motor and fan get examined for proper operation and lubrication where applicable.
The condensate drain line gets cleared to prevent water damage from backed up drains. Thermostat calibration, airflow measurements, and temperature differential across the evaporator coil all get verified. Filters get replaced when needed, and we note any indoor air quality concerns. Each visit ends with a written report covering what was checked, what was found, and what we recommend. That documentation also supports manufacturer warranty requirements.
Sol Aire Air Conditioning services all major brands of air conditioning equipment, not just the brands we sell. Our technicians work on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, American Standard, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Bryant, Amana, and many others. This brand neutral approach gives homeowners flexibility regardless of who originally installed their system.
Our trucks carry universal parts that fit most major brands, which means we complete most common repairs during the first visit. Capacitors, contactors, fan motors, and refrigerant components used across many manufacturers stay stocked on every service vehicle. For brand specific parts, we maintain strong relationships with local supply houses for quick turnaround. Our technicians stay current on training across multiple equipment lines.
We hold certifications as a Daikin Pro and Mitsubishi Diamond dealer, which represent the highest level of training and authorization for those manufacturers. Those credentials matter for new installations where premium equipment warranties depend on certified installation. For service and repair work, our broad experience across brands lets us troubleshoot effectively no matter what equipment you own. Customers appreciate having one trusted contractor who can handle every system in their home or business.
