Professional Air Ducts Installation in Sanford, FL
Properly designed ductwork serves as the circulatory system of your entire HVAC setup, and Sol Aire Air Conditioning treats every installation with that level of importance. Our licensed and insured technicians start each project with a complete evaluation of your home layout, square footage, and existing equipment capacity. Manual D duct design calculations determine the correct duct size, layout, and register placement for balanced airflow in every room. Poorly sized ducts create hot spots, cold rooms, excessive noise, and premature wear on your air conditioner or furnace. We install flex duct, sheet metal trunk lines, and rigid fiberglass duct board depending on the application and budget. All seams, joints, and connections are sealed with mastic or UL listed foil tape to prevent leakage, which can otherwise waste twenty to thirty percent of conditioned air. Insulation values meet or exceed Florida code requirements, which keeps your conditioned air at the right temperature as it travels through hot attic spaces. Return air pathways receive the same careful attention as supply runs, since balanced return flow protects equipment and improves comfort. Our crews protect your home with floor coverings, work cleanly, and remove all debris before leaving the job site. Financing options make full duct replacement projects manageable for homeowners working within a budget.

Customer Testimonials
Great folks. Amazing special $89 tune up included drain line cleaning. Highly recommend. Came same day and gave good advice.
Talk about a great team to work with. Great customer experience is a dying breed, but not here. The office staff is welcoming, the techs go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the end results. Would highly recommend if you just need service, a new install or a health check of your system before it gets too hot outside!
I’m so glad I switched to Sol Aire for my HVAC repair and maintenance. After multiple visits from another company that couldn’t diagnose the issue, it was such a relief to finally get answers. Roberto and Carlos were incredibly thorough. They took the time to carefully inspect both my indoor and outdoor units, quickly identified the problem, and fixed it efficiently. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. What impressed me just as much was the overall customer service. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Mandilyn and Juana Luisa were fantastic—helpful with scheduling, proactive in communicating when the technician was on the way, and thoughtful enough to follow up afterward to make sure everything went well. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both technical expertise and excellent customer care. Highly recommend!
The tech did real good and was very competent. The tech was dispatched 1st call of the morning. Great service!!!!!!
We had Sol Aire come out to look at my mom’s HVAC system which was over 24 years old and had finally gave out. This was our second quote and we chose them because of their honesty and professionalism. Sam from Sol Aire was fantastic. He took the time to answer all of my questions as well as my mom’s and he gave us honest feedback without any pressure. On the day of installation the team arrived on time and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The owner Lorenzo was even onsite for part of the day to check the quality of the work. He introduced himself to my mom and even took a moment to speak with me over Facetime which I really appreciated. The team Jason, Roberto and Carlos were courteous, professional and very respectful of my mom’s home. They cleaned everything up when they were done and were especially patient in helping my mom get set up with the app on her phone. Mandilyn in the office was also super helpful. She called my mom multiple times to keep her updated and followed up afterward to make sure everything was going well. From start to finish the service was outstanding. I highly recommend Sol Aire... A+ experience!
Sam and Roberto were incredibly kind and helpful people. They came out to service our business AC unit. They did an honest and professional job. The pricing was very fair and we signed up for a year long maintenance plan.
Carlos and Roberto were very professional they took care of the problem and explained everything that they were doing
I've been through multiple different AC companies and haven't had much luck finding one I'm happy with..... until this one. It had been a while since I had maintenance done and I wanted to get my system checked before the summer heat. I had gotten their flyer at my door a few weeks back and decided to try them out. I'm extremely happy I did! I called on a Thursday and they were already able to come out Monday afternoon. Before they arrived they texted and called to let me know they were on the way. I also received an email with their 2 names and pictures through a service that verifies their identities, just so you know who will be coming out. They were both extremely nice and professional and they took plenty of time to clean and check my system out. They also took pics of everything they did, before and after, and showed me them before I paid. My 10 year old AC system looks almost brand new again! Not only that but my whole house smells incredible thanks to the cleaners they used! If this is the level of service and professionalism they demonstrate moving forward, then I just found my go-to AC company from this point on. Well done Sol-Aire!
They put a new AC unit in my parents' house. Fantastic job ice cold air. I'm so happy. Thank you, . Thank you, Lorenzo.
Amazing fast service! Professional and caring during the booking process, a/c service, and prompt and courteous updates regarding parts needed. Highly recommend saving their number for any future needs!!
Great service, respectful, and timely. They even figured out how to accommodate my request for the mini split placement!
It was easy to make the appointment, they came exactly on time, and did the work promptly and professionally. I felt they were interested in making sure I was being served, not that they were just there to make a buck. They make some suggestions, but didn't push anything on me. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will use their service again in the future.
I had 2 original ac units replaced. I am happy with the new units. The techs that installed the units were friendly and professional. I've used cheaper services with horrible outcomes. You get what you pay for and im glad I used Sol Aire. I highly recommend Sole Aire.
My A/C started leaking and resetting. My regular guy and handyman were both unavailable. I had received a hand-written letter from Sol Aire earlier in the week. They replied right away and came the next morning. The owner even drove 40 minutes to my house on a Sunday to make sure I was set. They are very professional, timely, friendly and give you personalized service
Great company. Excellent customer service. The techs were knowledgeable. Did a great job on my ac maintenance. Installed a REME Halo. Highly recommend.

Roberto n Carlos super nice and informative. I’m happy to see y’all in 6 months for the next check!
First visit and I am beyond pleased. Extremely professional service the whole way through. From scheduling to completion I felt taken care of by the team! The company sent me pictures of the techs coming out to my house, Ramon and Carlos. I got a text and phone call when they were on the way. I bought the maintenance plan and was not over sold on any further products, but was told about potential future needs and even sent over a price estimate so I would not be surprised later on if I did decide to have them replace a UV bulb when it goes out.
Roberto did an awesome job removing and cleaning the Ac coil and fan motor in the Air handler, I would highly recommend any homeowner who needs service and maintenance.
They came out quick and were great about cleanup. I’m pretty picky and they were very easy to work with. Will for sure be using them in the future.

Reliable Air Ducts Inspection in Sanford, FL
A thorough air duct inspection reveals problems hidden inside walls, ceilings, and attic spaces that quietly drain efficiency from your HVAC system, and Sol Aire Air Conditioning approaches every inspection with meticulous attention to detail. Our licensed and insured technicians begin by reviewing your home’s layout, the age of the existing ductwork, and any comfort issues you have noticed room by room. Using calibrated instruments, we measure static pressure, airflow at each register, and temperature differentials between supply and return to identify imbalances throughout the system. Visual inspection of accessible trunk lines, branch runs, plenums, and boots uncovers disconnected joints, crushed flex duct, sagging sections, and torn insulation that compromise performance. We also check for signs of moisture intrusion, microbial growth, rodent activity, and dust accumulation, all of which affect indoor air quality and can aggravate allergies or respiratory conditions. Mastic seals, foil tape connections, and register collars are examined for deterioration, since failed seals can leak twenty to thirty percent of your conditioned air into unconditioned spaces. Duct leakage testing pinpoints the exact locations where treated air escapes before it reaches living areas, giving you a clear picture of where repairs will deliver the greatest return. Insulation values are verified against current Florida code to confirm your ducts are protected from attic heat gain during long cooling seasons. Return air pathways receive the same scrutiny as supply runs, because restricted returns strain equipment and shorten its service life.

Our Air Ducts Service
Sol Aire Air Conditioning understands that ductwork affects nearly every aspect of HVAC performance in your home or commercial building. Florida properties face unique challenges including hot attic temperatures, high humidity, and the long cooling season that put constant stress on duct systems. Our team approaches each ductwork project with attention to the science of airflow, not just the mechanics of installation. We service homes, multi family properties, retail spaces, and small commercial buildings throughout Seminole and Volusia counties. Every project begins with a detailed conversation about comfort concerns, energy bills, and any rooms that feel different from the rest of the house. Our technicians hold current certifications and stay updated on Florida building code changes related to duct design and installation. Clear communication from the initial inspection through final testing sets our work apart from contractors who skip the explanation. That dedication to old fashioned customer service keeps families coming back for every HVAC need.
Air duct inspection forms the foundation of any quality ductwork service. Our technicians use visual examination, smoke testing, pressure testing, and sometimes camera scopes to identify problems throughout the system. We check for disconnected joints, crushed flex duct, deteriorating insulation, mold growth, pest activity, and improper duct sizing. Inspection reports include photos and clear descriptions of what was found at each location. Many homeowners are surprised by the condition of ductwork they have never actually seen, especially in attic spaces. We measure static pressure at the air handler to identify systems struggling against restrictive ductwork. Return air pathways receive special attention, since starved returns force equipment to work harder than necessary. Our inspections also identify safety concerns like supply registers blowing directly on combustion appliances or returns pulling air from garages and other unsafe locations. Each finding comes with a clear recommendation and estimated cost for correction.
Air duct installation requires precise design work before any materials get cut or hung. Manual D calculations determine the correct duct sizes based on the cooling and heating loads in each room. We design supply runs to deliver balanced airflow without excessive noise or high velocity at registers. Return air pathways get sized to match supply capacity, which is something many older homes lack entirely. Trunk lines, branch ducts, register boots, and grilles all coordinate as one integrated system. Material choices include flex duct for branch runs, sheet metal for trunk lines, and duct board where space and budget call for it. Hanging straps support duct runs every four to five feet to prevent sagging that restricts airflow. Mastic sealant or UL 181 foil tape closes every seam, joint, and connection against air leakage. Insulation jackets meet or exceed R 6 or R 8 ratings depending on location and code requirements.
Air duct repair addresses both visible damage and hidden performance issues. Separated joints in flex duct happen frequently when original installation used only zip ties without proper inner core attachment and outer jacket support. Crushed ducts behind storage items or under foot traffic in attics restrict airflow and need to be replaced rather than reshaped. Mastic sealant degrades over time, especially at register boots where temperature differences create stress. Rodent activity creates holes, contamination, and sometimes complete duct collapse. Our repairs follow current best practices and code requirements, not just patches over old problems. We replace damaged sections with new materials rather than trying to splice together failing components. Each repair gets tested for airflow and seal integrity before we consider the job complete. Larger repair projects sometimes lead to discussions about partial or full duct replacement when older systems show widespread issues.
Energy efficiency depends heavily on ductwork that holds conditioned air inside the duct system. Studies consistently show that typical homes lose twenty to thirty percent of conditioned air through duct leaks before it ever reaches living spaces. Florida attics regularly reach one hundred thirty degrees in summer, so any leak directly heats your air conditioned air before it arrives. Sealing existing ductwork can produce immediate improvements in comfort and energy bills. Our team uses mastic sealant rather than cloth duct tape, which fails quickly in attic temperatures. Aeroseal duct sealing is another option for homes with extensive leakage that would be difficult to address with traditional sealing methods. Insulation upgrades on poorly insulated existing duct systems often complement sealing work for maximum benefit. We discuss the expected return on investment for each improvement so customers can make informed decisions.
Indoor air quality concerns make duct cleanliness and integrity especially important for Florida families. Humid air creates conditions where mold and mildew thrive inside duct systems that have moisture intrusion or condensation issues. Pet dander, dust, pollen, and other allergens accumulate inside duct interiors over years of operation. Duct cleaning services use specialized equipment to remove built up contamination from supply and return ducts. We also identify root causes of contamination, since cleaning alone does not address ongoing issues like moisture leaks or pest activity. Sealed and properly insulated ducts resist condensation that creates conditions for biological growth. Filtration upgrades at the air handler complement clean ducts by preventing new contamination from settling inside the system. UV light installations at the evaporator coil add another layer of protection against biological growth. Our recommendations always match actual conditions in your home rather than pushing services you do not need.
Choosing the right contractor for ductwork projects matters significantly because the work happens largely out of sight. Sol Aire Air Conditioning maintains proper Florida licensing, insurance, and ongoing training that protect customers throughout every project. Our technicians complete background checks, which gives families confidence about who works inside their attic and around their home. We provide free estimates with honest recommendations and no high pressure sales tactics. Photos and inspection reports document existing conditions so you see exactly what we see. Pricing stays transparent from initial quote through final invoice, with no surprise charges added after the work begins. Our reviews from Sanford area customers reflect consistent quality, fair pricing, and responsive communication. Building long term relationships with the communities we serve drives every decision we make as a company.

Most Common Air Ducts Questions
Air duct services cover inspection, repair, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the entire duct system that distributes conditioned air throughout your home or business. Below are answers to questions homeowners ask us most often about duct inspection, installation, and repair across the Sanford area.
Air ducts deserve a professional inspection at least every three to five years, even when the HVAC system seems to be working normally. Florida homes face accelerated wear on ductwork due to hot attic conditions, high humidity, and potential pest activity in many neighborhoods. Newer construction sometimes has ductwork that was rushed during the original build, which means problems can show up earlier than expected. Older homes often have ducts that have never been formally inspected since installation decades ago.
Certain situations warrant inspection sooner than the standard interval. After any major roof work, attic renovation, or rodent activity, ductwork should be checked for damage that might not be obvious from inside the home. New homeowners benefit from an inspection during their first year to establish a baseline understanding of their duct system. Anyone noticing rooms that never reach the thermostat setting, unusual energy bill increases, or visible dust around supply registers should schedule an inspection promptly.
Our inspections include both visual examination and performance testing where appropriate. We check accessible duct runs for damage, leaks, insulation condition, and proper support. Static pressure measurements at the air handler reveal whether ductwork is properly sized for the equipment. Photos document conditions throughout the system, and our written report includes clear recommendations with priority levels. Customers leave with real information about their duct system rather than just a sales pitch.
Duct leakage represents one of the largest hidden energy wastes in typical Florida homes. Industry research consistently shows that the average home loses twenty to thirty percent of conditioned air through duct leaks before it reaches living spaces. In Florida’s climate, those leaks happen mostly in attic spaces where temperatures routinely exceed one hundred twenty degrees during summer months. Every cubic foot of cooled air that escapes into the attic is air your AC paid to cool but you never get to enjoy.
The financial impact adds up quickly across an entire cooling season. A home with significant duct leakage might see electric bills twenty to thirty percent higher than the same home with properly sealed ducts. Over a year of operation, that difference often amounts to several hundred dollars or more depending on home size and usage patterns. The wear on equipment also accelerates because the air conditioner runs longer cycles trying to overcome the lost air. Compressors, blower motors, and other components face shorter service lives in systems fighting leaky ductwork.
Sealing existing ductwork is one of the highest return investments available for HVAC efficiency. Mastic sealant applied at every joint, seam, and connection blocks the leakage paths that develop over time. Some homes benefit from professional Aeroseal treatment that injects sealant from inside the ducts to reach inaccessible leaks. Our team measures and documents performance before and after sealing so you can see the improvement clearly. The combination of lower bills, improved comfort, and longer equipment life makes duct sealing a smart investment for almost any Florida homeowner.
Flex duct consists of an inner core of flexible plastic or metallic material surrounded by insulation and an outer protective jacket. It bends easily to navigate around obstacles in attic spaces and connects supply registers to trunk lines. Flex duct installs faster and costs less than rigid alternatives, which makes it popular for branch runs in residential applications. Quality flex duct meeting UL 181 standards performs well when properly installed with appropriate support and minimal bends.
Rigid duct includes sheet metal and fiberglass duct board options for trunk lines and main supply runs. Sheet metal provides excellent durability, smooth airflow with minimal friction loss, and long service life when properly installed and sealed. Duct board offers built in insulation along with rigid structure and works well for larger trunk lines. Rigid ducts handle higher static pressures and serve well in commercial applications or larger residential systems.
The best installations often combine both materials strategically. Sheet metal trunk lines deliver air efficiently from the air handler to distribution points throughout the home. Flex duct branch runs then carry air the shorter distances from trunk lines to individual register boots. This hybrid approach balances performance, cost, and installation flexibility. Our team designs each system based on the specific home layout, equipment capacity, and budget rather than forcing one material throughout the entire project.
The cleaning versus replacement decision depends on several factors including age, condition, design quality, and energy performance of the existing ductwork. Ducts in good structural condition with minor accumulated contamination usually benefit from professional cleaning rather than full replacement. Cleaning addresses dust, allergens, and biological growth that has built up over years of operation. The original duct system remains in place with all its connections, insulation, and design characteristics intact.
Replacement makes more sense when ductwork shows widespread damage, poor original design, inadequate sealing, or significant deterioration. Homes built before modern duct standards often have undersized ducts, leaky construction, and insufficient insulation that cleaning cannot fix. Pest damage, mold contamination, or asbestos containing materials sometimes require replacement for safety and health reasons. Adding new HVAC equipment with different capacity sometimes triggers the need for redesigned ductwork to match the new system.
Our team provides honest assessments based on actual inspection findings rather than pushing the more expensive option. Photos and detailed reports show you exactly what condition your ducts are in. Cost comparisons help you weigh the value of cleaning versus partial or full replacement. Sometimes a phased approach makes sense, addressing the worst areas first while planning future improvements. The right answer depends on your specific situation, and we explain the options clearly so you can decide.
Several signs point to ductwork that needs professional repair before the problems worsen. Rooms that feel noticeably hotter or cooler than the rest of the house often indicate duct issues, including disconnections, leaks, or improper sizing. Unusual increases in electric bills without changes in usage patterns frequently trace back to deteriorating ductwork wasting conditioned air. Whistling sounds, banging noises during system startup, or rattling vibrations sometimes indicate damaged duct sections or loose connections.
Visible damage during attic inspections provides the clearest evidence of needed repairs. Separated flex duct connections, crushed sections, torn outer jackets, or missing insulation all warrant prompt attention. Excessive dust around supply registers can indicate return air leaks pulling dirty attic air into the system. Mold growth, water stains, or musty odors near duct components point to condensation issues that need both cleaning and repair work.
Our diagnostic approach combines visual inspection with performance testing to identify all duct issues, not just the obvious ones. Pressure testing measures actual leakage rates and helps prioritize repairs by impact. Infrared cameras sometimes reveal temperature differences that indicate hidden leaks or insulation failures. The repair recommendations come with clear cost estimates and expected improvements so you can decide which work to authorize. Most repairs finish quickly, and the performance improvements often surprise homeowners who had grown used to underperforming ductwork.
Air duct installation timelines vary significantly based on project scope, home size, and complexity of the design. Replacing an existing duct system in a typical single family home usually takes two to four days from start to finish. The work involves removing old ductwork, installing new trunk lines and branch runs, sealing all connections, adding insulation where needed, and testing the completed system. Larger homes or projects requiring redesigned duct layouts often extend timelines by additional days.
New construction installations follow a different timeline since they integrate with the broader building schedule. Rough duct installation happens after framing is complete but before drywall and ceilings get installed. Final connections, register installations, and system testing happen near the end of construction. Coordination with builders, electricians, and other trades affects how the duct work fits into the overall project schedule.
Partial duct replacement or repair projects often finish in a single day. Adding a new run to serve a remodeled space or addition typically takes part of one day depending on access and routing complexity. Our crews work efficiently while maintaining quality standards on every project. We communicate clearly about expected start dates, daily progress, and completion timing so homeowners can plan accordingly. Photos throughout the installation document the work and provide reference for any future service needs.
Air duct repair costs depend on the type of damage, accessibility of the affected areas, and the scope of work involved. Simple repairs like resealing a few separated joints or patching minor flex duct damage often fall in the lower price range. More extensive work involving multiple damaged sections, replacement of long duct runs, or complete trunk line repairs costs significantly more. The good news is that targeted repairs are usually far less expensive than full duct replacement when only specific areas have problems.
Several factors affect repair pricing beyond just the materials and labor. Accessibility plays a major role, since ducts in cramped attic spaces or crawl spaces require more time and effort to repair than easily reached locations. The type of duct material affects repair approaches, with sheet metal repairs requiring different techniques than flex duct fixes. Sometimes related issues like inadequate insulation or improper support need attention alongside the visible damage, which affects the total project cost.
Our estimates always include clear pricing with no surprise charges added after work begins. We document existing conditions with photos and provide detailed scope descriptions so you understand exactly what the repair involves. Multiple repair options sometimes exist for a given problem, and we explain the cost and longevity differences between approaches. Financing options help homeowners address significant duct repair needs without straining the household budget. Honest recommendations mean we will tell you when repair makes more sense than replacement and when the opposite is true.
Ductwork issues directly impact indoor air quality in several important ways. Leaky return ducts pull air from attics, crawl spaces, or other unconditioned areas into your HVAC system. That outside air brings dust, allergens, insulation fibers, pest droppings, and sometimes mold spores into the air you breathe inside the home. Florida attics and crawl spaces often contain elevated humidity and biological contaminants that should never circulate through living spaces.
Condensation issues inside ducts create conditions where mold and mildew can grow. High humidity meeting cool duct surfaces produces water droplets that soak into insulation, settle in low spots, or drip onto components below. Over time, these moisture issues can lead to significant biological growth that spreads contamination throughout the home each time the system runs. Musty odors, increased allergy symptoms, and visible discoloration around registers all point to potential moisture related problems inside ductwork.
Our approach addresses both immediate contamination and underlying causes. Duct cleaning removes accumulated debris, but cleaning alone does not solve ongoing problems. We identify and repair the leaks, condensation sources, and pest entry points that allowed contamination in the first place. Improved sealing and insulation prevent recurring issues after cleaning. Filtration upgrades at the air handler and sometimes UV light installations add ongoing protection. Customers concerned about indoor air quality usually find that comprehensive duct work delivers significant improvements in how the air actually feels and smells inside the home.
